So while I wasn't blogging

Found a great new Zumba class

Bought a new pair of Tevas

Yes, Bonannos are wonderful. Yes, I love all sorts of adorable flip flops. But I can run & hike in my Tevas! I finally retired my favorite pair (which were 11 years old - rest in peace old friends!) Anyone else have a hard time parting with old shoes because of all the memories that go with them?

Had our first cookout of the summer on Memorial Day & had a great time with lots of my favorite people. Also realized I need to find a better Sangria recipe...anyone have a good one?

I read 10 books last month and am working on putting together a summer reading list.
May was:
Books 3 - 8 from Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire series (don't judge - they're good!)
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle (liked the message...found the writing style a little pretentious)
Cathedral by Ramond Carver (love him)
Joe College by Tom Perotta (didn't like it as much as Little Children)
Blonde By Joyce Carol Oates (re-read...love this one)

So...those of you who have your reading lists on your blogs...I will be checking for ideas for what to read next.

Oh and p.s. I think Ryan Adam's version of Wonderwall is my new favorite make out song (maybe tied with Moonlight Mile by the Stone & Van Morrison's version of Comfortably Numb...it's in the playlist...and yeah, I'm 33, you never get to old to enjoy a good make-out song!

Um....best post ever.

Zumba, books AND Ryan Adams? I swear to god you're my soulmate.

I'm with you on the Tevas. If someone took away all my summer shoes and left just one pair, it would have to be those. Also good if you're standing and cooking for long periods of time. the Bonannos just do not do it in the arch support department.

My blog is all about reading, so please stop by. I just invested in a pair of ahnu's. My Eliza B's fell apart. these are much more comfy.

I love Raymond Carver. I met his widow in Seattle. Sometimes I read those stories when I have insomnia.

I love Raymond Carver too...my advisor at college edited several of his books & wrote one of his biographies.
